KPSC KAS Syllabus 2017

PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION PAPER – I (Objective type):
Current events of National and International importance.

1. Social, economic, cultural and political focus on Indian History with special emphasis on Karnataka.


2. Geography International and nation with main concentration on Karnataka.on Karnataka.


3. Indian Polity and Economy, including the country's political system, rural development, planning and economic reforms in India-sustainable development, poverty alleviation, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.,

Written Examination PAPER –II

1. Current events of State importance


2. State Govt. Schemes and Yojana


3. General Science & Technology, Environment & Ecology


4. Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and Analytical ability, Decision-making, problem-solving, Basic innumeracy (numbers and their relations, the order of magnitude etc.,) and data interpretation ( charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc., (Class X / SSLC level).
