BDA Bhubaneswar will Construct 2600 EWS Houses till April 2017

Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) has announced to provide affordable houses to economical weaker section. Under the scheme houses will be constructed through Public-Private-Partnership model.

BDA has planned to construct a total of 2600 houses and housing project will be set up in Chandrasekharpur area of Bhubaneswar. Houses will be constructed on a total of 20.31 acres area and comes with facilities like power supply, drinking water supply, road network, solid waste management, street lights and drainage system.

The BDA housing scheme is located close to Lumbini Vihar, Buddha Jayanti Park and Just 12 KM from the Biju Pattnaik International Airport, 11 KM from the city railway station and 9 KM from the City Centre.

The development authority has issued the RFP (Request for Proposal) as per the Model-III of Policy for Housing for All in Urban Areas, Odisha, 2015. The project is an initiative towards the promotion of affordable housing across the state.

For EWS section, BDA Bhubaneswar has made a target of providing 10,000 houses by 2017 and the authority already had constructed 7000 of them.
