Pashudhan Bima Yojana by Haryana Govt.

Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar launched Pashudhan Bima Yojana offering free insurance cover for the cattle breeders. This scheme launched by the Haryana Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister, O.P. Dhankar in Jhajjar.

Under the scheme, free bima premium will be given on insurance of Rs. 100 for camels, bulls, cows, Buffaloes and Rs. 25 for pig, sheep and goat for 3 years. Also, SC/ST category can apply for Pashudhan Bima Yojana free of insurance cost.

In case, the cattle covered under Bima Yojana die, the cattle breeders get compensation from the insurance company. In the initial phase of Pashudhan Yojana, the state government of Haryana have planned to cover 1 lac cattle breeders under Pashudhan Bima Yojana.

The aim of the Insurance Scheme is to provide insurance cover to cattle breeders of the state at minimal rates. On 1 October 2016 the occasion of Golden Jubilee of Haryana Chief Minister announced that the beneficiary blocks and villages give half premium. This scheme is also eligible for other people of the state who have registered in government schemes.
