Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Odisha - Work Order For 11228 Houses

Under the ambitious Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Odisha, the Chief Minister of Odisha Mr. Naveen Patnaik has issued work order for the construction of 11,228 houses. Under this housing scheme, the beneficiaries of Odisha will soon get the houses. Under PM Awas Yojana, the central govt. is providing houses to poor and needy people across the country.

Earlier, the Odisha Govt. has selected 23,848 beneficiaries under PMAY Odisha from urban areas out of which 11,548 are approved in the capital of the state. Work Order of the houses was announced on 26^th December 2016 by CM of the state in a function at the secretariat in Bhuvenshwar.

Also, the Chief Minister distributed cheques to some of beneficiaries of the various cities including Jajpur, Sambalpur and Rayagada through video-conferencing under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Odisha.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Odisha, the government will get a total assistance of Rs. 2 Lakh to each beneficiary. The amount will be given in four installments at different stages of construction work including Rs 70,000, Rs 60,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 20,000. The assistance money would get transferred to the DBT (direct benefit transfer) accounts of the beneficiaries.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Odisha central government will provide the affordable houses at low cost of the poor people. As per PMAY, only people belongs to Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG) and from the Below Poverty Line (BPL) are eligible for the scheme.
