Earlier on 30^th December 2016, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had has launched BHIM App with the main objective to promote cashless transactions and digital payment system.

The newly launched Android App allows fund through mobile phones. The PM Modi also announced Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Yojana to promote digital transactions in the country. BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) App is a rebranded version of UPI (Unified Interface Payment) and USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data).

With BHIM App, people are now able to transfer fund to anyone in the country by simply using mobile App.
