BHIM App - Aadhar Based Payment Application

BHIM App (Bharat Interface for Money): PM Narendra Modi had launched BHIM App an Aadhar based mobile application on 30^th December. Aadhar card-based mobile payment application BHIM app was launched in Talkatora stadium New Delhi at Digi Dhan Vyapar Mela.

BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) is rebranded version of USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) and UPI (Unified Payment Interface). At the launching event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also felicitated 7,229 winners of Digi Dhan Yojana – Lucky Grahak Yojana Draw under which 15000 lucky consumers will get daily reward of Rs 1,000 for a period of 100 days.

The BHIM app has been launched in India to promote Cashless India that is to encourage the online transaction and the online payment system. With the app, the fee payments will get eliminated for service providers like card companies such as master card or visa.

How Merchant Take BHIM app benefit

1. Download the Aadhar Cashless merchant App on their smartphones


2. Connect the smartphone to biometric reader which is currently of Rs. 2000 for making digital transactions.

How Merchant Take BHIM app benefit

1. Customer will need his or her Aadhar Card number into BHIM App.


2. Select the Aadhar verified bank.


3. Biometric scan will work as a password for the transaction.

BHIM App Bharat Interface for Money’ has been named in the honour of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar or all may better know him as Bhimrao Ambedkar, the man who gave us our constitution of the country.
