Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation (MoHUPA) said that it will spend at total of Rs.5590 crore and also get Rs.1188 crore financial assistance from central government. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U) was started with the main focus to provide self-shelter to all people of the country by 2022. This Narendra Modi government housing scheme also named to be as Housing for All.

In MoHUPA new Affordable Housing, the state of Madhya Pradesh will get 82,262 PMAY-U houses with cost of Rs. 6331 Crore. While Under PM Awas Yojana J&K a total of 4,915 new houses get ready with cost of Rs. 314 crore.
Till now a total of Rs. 16,51,687 crore have been spend by Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation and central government for Hosing for All Scheme. Beneficiaries will get Rs. 1.5 lakh financial help from the government in installments to purchase the house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) 2017 Scheme.
