UJALA Scheme Unnat Jeevan Launched in Jharkhand: Affordable LEDs and Appliances

Most of the people in Jharkhand does not have electricity even they do not know the thing of electricity. To see all this Ujala Scheme Unnat Jeevan launched in Jharkhand. Chief Minister Raghubar Das launched this scheme to provide LEDs and appliances to the people of the state at affordable cost.He said that the state government of Jharkhand will provide electricity to 30 Lakh houses who do not have electricity. The state government set a goal to electrify the rest 23 lakh households by March 2019, he was quoted in an official release.

Under UJALA Scheme total 85 Lakh LED bulbs will be distributed. The UJALA scheme is being implemented by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a JV under the administration of Ministry of Power, Government of India.

EESL would provide free of cost replacement of LED bulbs and tube lights for all technical faults for three years under UJALA Scheme. The State government of Jharkhand will also provide as free of cost replacement of energy efficient fans for all technical faults for 2.5 year

Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the consumers have already realized how drastically their electricity bills have gone down and I am confident that with the launch of these two appliances, the result will be unbelievable. The Jharkhand government will provide the LED bulbs and electricity to all the consumers of the state Jharkhand.

UJALA Scheme will help the government manage, balance and reduce power outage. He said that we should all be proud that we are helping the environment by mitigating climate change through the adoption of energy efficient appliances.
