PM Awas Yojana Puducherry - 3,128 Houses Approved

Soon under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Puducherry around 3,128 affordable houses will be constructed in the union territory. The houses available under PMAY- Urban are for poor section of society that is EWS and LIG category.

For PM Awas Yojana Puducherry government will spend a budget of Rs. 131 crore to make the Housing For All Scheme a success. Out of total 3,128 affordable houses, 2093 were sanctioned for Puducherry, 592 for Karaikal, 358 for Yanam and 85 for Mahe.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban was started by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi that is expected to get completed in three phases till 2022. Under the plan, the government will provide houses at low cost for LIG and EWS section along with loan scheme. In the scheme, the government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 1.33 lakh for every beneficiary of PMAY-Urban.  The financial help from the government will be given in three installments.

Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (MHUPA) has declared that total 3,128 houses will be built in four cities. And the central government will offer RS. 47 crore amount as assistance for the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Puducherry.
