Apply Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana
For the social welfare of old age persons of above 60 years Prime Minster Narendra Modi has introduced the scheme. Under the project, vridha peoples belong to BPL Families as per Census 2011. With this Yojana, the central government will offer free assistive devices including hearing aids, Walkers, and wheelchairs. The main target of the RVY Scheme is to make life easy in declining years, so they can live a better life.
Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) will be going to launch on 25th March 2017 in a camp that will setup at Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. The scheme will be inaugurated by Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot.
Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana Eligibility Criteria
Peoples who suffer from any sort of disability in elderliness and fit the criteria will be benefited from the scheme.
- Applying candidate age should be 60 years or more
- He/She should have Below Poverty Line (BPL) card provided by the authorities.

As per reports from the public websites and surveys, there are around about 10.38 crore senior citizens in the country. And 5.2 % of the total figure are suffering from any kind of old age-related disability. BPL Card holders as per SECC-2011 are eligible for the scheme to get free assistive devices.
Main Objective of Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana
With the scheme, PM Narendra Modi Aimed to offer around 2000 assistive devices in every camp conducted. Also, the government said Vayoshri Yojana camp will be set up at two selected district of each state for the whole year.
RVY Scheme is basically a step forward for the old age peoples so that their life can become easy in declining years. Peoples who are suffering from problems including loss of teeth, low vision, hearing impairment, locomotor disability and others will get benefited under the plan.
For such peoples free of cost assistive devices will be given including Tripods, Hearing aids, Wheelchair and others under Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana
