Annapurna Akshayapatra Yojana Chandigarh - Food at Just Rs. 10

In the capital of Haryana & Punjab, Annapurna Akshayapatra Yojana Chandigarh is launched to provide food for poor people at less price.  UT administrator VP Singh Badnore has announced the Annapurna Akshayapatra Yojana Chandigarh. Under this low-cost food scheme, the government will offer 6 chapatis and vegetable at Rs. 10 only to poor peoples of Chandigarh.

The government will provide food packets at just a cost of Rs.10 at five locations in the Chandigarh.  The food packet contains chapatis, vegetable and pickle.

With this low-cost food scheme, the govt. of Chandigarh has aimed to provide benefits of the Annapurna Yojana to labour and other poor people. In the initial stage, the government will distribute 1,000 packets per day and that is aimed to 10,000 packets a day in future.

Also, under the food yojana has decided to spend Rs. 3 lac per month for 30,000 packets. According to reports, the estimated cost for the installation for cooking food is Rs. 70 lac. The Kitchen would get set up at Karuna Sadan building in sector 11-8 for Annapurna Akshayapatra Yojana Chandigarh.

As a trail, the government of the Chandigarh has distributed food packets on 2^nd January 2017 a large crowd has availed the benefits. The Government has promised to provide good quality of food under the Annapurna Akshayapatra Yojana to the poor peoples of Chandigarh.
