GRAVIT Yojana - Haryana Govt. to Setup Team of 60,000 Volunteers

Under GRAVIT Yojana, Govt. of Haryana has declared to set up a team of 60,000 youth of the state. The main objective of the “Gramin Vikas ke liye Tarun (GRAVIT) Shikshit se Saksham ki Ore” is to provide the maximum advantage of the scheme to people of the state.

Under the scheme, the government will be looking to provide better facilities for skill development training of the poor people of the state. The goal of government with a newly launched skill training program is the growth of people living in both rural and urban area of the state.

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has said that the reason for launching the program is the better progress and empowerment of the rural Haryana. He also added that only fully educated and capable person’s will be selected as Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) for presenting the Shikshit se Saksham ki Ore Yojana.

This skill development scheme is much similar or you may say works on the principles of the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana or DAY that was launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Much like Indian government Antyodaya Yojana, Haryana’s GRAVIT Yojana also aims to decrease poverty in the state through various Skill Upgradation or Skill Development training for self-business.

State CM also wished the success to transform the Gramin Haryana with co-work of 60,000 PRIs representatives along with the prepared team of 60,000 Youth Under the GRAVIT Scheme.

In the Gramin Vikas ke liye Tarun Yojana, the selected volunteers from the state will get free training program and will be given the certificate for three-month course of Panchayati Raj Institutions representatives.

On the announcing occasion in Rohtak, Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said the last government has not taken proper steps and ideas for the betterment of the PRIs opened in the state.

Along with Self-Empowerment training, also subsidy on bank loans for micro-business and involving poor people in the self-help are part of GRAVIT Yojana. On the same event, officials also announced to provide around six crore affordable houses to the LIG and EWS group under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Haryana. The awas Yojana information was announced along with “Gramin Vikas ke liye Tarun Shikshit se Saksham ki Ore” Scheme on the same event.
