Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) - 29 Camps in Ajmer Region

Under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) ( दीन दयाल उपाध्याय ग्राम ज्योति योजना), Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd (AVVNL) has organized a total of 29 Camps in 9 circles of the Ajmer region on 1^st January. At the event, 629 people have registered for electricity connection out of which 403 people have got electricity at the event only.

On Sunday, the authorities set up 6 Camps at Chittorgarh Circle, 5 at Pratapgarh Circle, 4 at Bhilwara, 4 at Ajmer, and 2-2 at Rajsamand, Sikar, Nagaur, Dungarpur & Jhunjhunu Circles under (DDUGJY.

AVVNL, Managing Director, Meharam Vishnoi said, under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) the government mainly aimed to provide electricity connection to people of rural who still not have electricity connections. Under DDUGJY, the government is offering electricity connection to APL and BPL card holders at the time of event too.

He also said, at total 629 people registered electricity connection under Gram Jyoti Yojana Ajmer region out of which 403 got service line connection. The government had given 158 connection to BPL card holders and 245 connections to the APL card holders.

AVVNL, Managing Director, Meharam Vishnoi confirmed that a total of 142 connection request where made from Sikar including 120 APL and 22 BPL card holders. From Jhunjhunu Circles, 125 electricity connection request including 100 APL and 25 BPL. Dungarpur Circle received total 48 electricity connection request all from BPL card holders.
