The state government is also set upping campaigns in the rural areas of Haryana to collect bills under this government scheme. Last year, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has launched the Bijli Bill Jurmana Maafi Yojana for the defaulters who are not paying electricity bills on time. In this electricity scheme defaulters can pay their bills without paying interest of delayed bills.

For attaching more peoples with the scheme, the CM Manohar Lal Khattar also announced 5% subsidy on rest of the bills if electricity defaulters pay bills under Bijli Bill Jurmana Maafi Yojana. The Haryana Government has started the electricity scheme to take advanced bills from the electricity consumers on subsidy.
For taking out the benefits of this Government Scheme, electricity consumers have to pay current bill + advanced bill on 30% subsidy from the government. Under this Haryana Government Scheme, the authorities will increase the electricity efficiency in the state if consumer pay bill on time and all people have electricity, under Bijli Bill Jurmana Maafi Yojana.
According to the scheme, the state govt. will take people to court that are using electricity without a connection for more than one year. Also, the defaulters who do not have an electricity connection will get new connections and the meter in just three days under Bijli Bill Jurmana Maafi Yojana. So now the defaulters can take benefit and pay the delayed electricity bill till extended last date of Bijli Bill Jurmana Maafi Yojana which is 31 January 2017.
