Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin - 50,000 More Houses in Assam

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAYG) Assam: Now Narendra Modi Awas Yojana will going to provide more than 50,000 shelter to the poor people of Assam. Initially, the scheme was announced only for 9 cities and now it has been broaden up to 97 cities across the North-Eastern state Assam.

PM Awas Yojana is an awful housing plan from the central government that planned to provide concrete houses to all by 2022 under its Gramin Awas Yojana plan. At present, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin first phase is going on till March 2017. After which PMAY Second phase will start from April 2017 to March 2019.

Assam CM  Sarbananda Sonowal said the structure of houses will be uniform and construction of the houses will going to begin in the first week of February under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Assam Gramin. It has been also informed that around 1.6 lakh concrete house will be constructed in rural parts across the state.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Assam Gramin, financial assistance of 1.3 lakh will be given to provide for poor people to build pucca houses.

Chief Minister informed that the eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of Census 2011 that kept to be completely transparent. Under PM Gramin Awas Yojana, 50,000 houses will be soon going to start constructed in the rural area of the state.

Note: the main highlight of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin Assam is that the helping money will be directly transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries.
